- I personify most airline companies as the poor brother who is always mooching cash from your parents and can't get his act together. One day a lot of people died because he cut corners on a responsibility in order to save money. That tragedy cost 300 million other people heartache and a lot more dollars than he saved. What an asshole! Our passenger rail system, Amtrak, could also be personified as a poor dumb-ass who can't get his feet off the ground. But this brother didn't hurt anyone and has had a lot of setbacks in his life... you can't help but feel sorry for him. I am riding the rails over 5000 miles around the country this March.
